Along with 25 partners - among them 20 european film archives and cinémathèques, the CNC French Film Archives are taking part in the european project EFG1914 (http://project.efg1914.eu), to give access to digitised films and non-film material from and related to World War I.
The main goal is to digitise about 650 hours of films on the theme of the First World War and to make them viewable on the EFG portal (www.europeanfilmgateway.eu) as well as www.europenana.eu . In addition, a virtual exhibition will highlight exceptional material that will provide a deeper insight on the collections.

The CNC French Film Archives contributed approximately 100 films to the project, showing their collections and their partners'.

In addition, the CNC serves as the portal's intermediary for other French institutions, such as the French military archives (ECPAD) and the Albert Kahn Museum.
