Launch of the first ACM Distribution call for projects

Paris, October 5th, 2015

Frédérique Bredin, the CNC’s CEO, launches the ACM Distribution (ACMD) new scheme in order to encourage the international circulation of films supported by the Aide aux cinémas du monde (ACM).
This new funding, supported by the European Commission’s programme Europe creative-MEDIA, is a grant for projects that present an international distribution strategy. The distribution must relate to at least three countries, including one European and one non-European country.
By supporting the most ambitious distributors in terms of diversity, the ACMD will help improving the diffusion of high quality works around the world, in order to make them accessible to a more general public. In 2015, 6 films benefitting from the ACM were selected for Berlin, 17 films for Cannes and 7 films for Venice.
The submission deadline for the first call for projects is December 10th, 2015. The budget for this first call will be maximum 300 000 euros.
