According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 16.58 million in January 2016, down from 16.77 million in January 2015 (-1.1%).
Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions totalled 208.0 million, a drop of 1.1% compared with the same period in 2015.
French Films market share in January 2016 was 38.7% of total admissions. US features shared 53.1% of total admissions. Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 33.7%, 56.4% for American films and 9.9% for other films.
