The Utilization of High-speed Networks in France

The CNC decided to undertake a technical study on the utilization of fixed and mobile networks in France, in order to estimate the percentage of Internet traffic taken up by professional videos on high speed and very high speed connections. This study, completed by the IDATE (Institut de l’Audiovisuel et des Télécommunications en Europe) in the first quarter of 2012, analyzed fixed and mobile networks’ architectures, content distribution techniques, and the way they function.
