According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 10.9 million in September 2011, down from 11.3 million in September 2011 (-4.0%).
For the first nine months of 2012, admissions totalled 143.4 million, a drop of 1.8% compared with the same period in 2011.
Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions were 214.0 million. It increased to 5.4% year-on-year.
French Films market share in the first nine months of 2012 was 39.8% of total admissions. US features shared 48.9% of total admissions. Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 45.1%, 44.8% for American films and 10.1% for other films.
