According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 18.70 million in February 2012, down from 21.60 million in February 2011. (-13.4 %). For the first two months of 2012, admissions totalled 34.93 admissions, a drop of 3.6 % compared with the same period in 2011. Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions were 214.29 million. It increased to 5.3 % year-on-year.
French films market share in February 2012 was 48.9 % compared to 44.9 % in February 2011. US features shared 37.1 % of total admissions in February 2012 compared to 39.2 % in February 2011. Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 42.2%, 45.7% for American films and 12.1% for other films
