According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 15.33 million in August 2013, up from 14.08 million in August 2012 (+8.9%).
For the first eight months of 2013, France cinema admissions were 125.24 million, down 5.8% compared with the same period in 2012.
Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions totalled 195.87 million, a drop of 9.0% compared with the same period in 2012.
French Films market share in August 2013 was 32.3% of total admissions. US features shared 57.7% of total admissions. Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 36.8%, 49.6% for American films and 13.6% for other films.
