Awards and festivals
The CNC directly subsidizes the major international festivals (like FIPA, International Festival of Audiovisual Programs and the Cannes Film Festival).It helps finance the organization of major national awards (like the award for best scriptwriter or Sopadin award).
The winners of each of these awards receive not only a monetary prize but also media coverage.
The CNC funds the Carrefour des festivals association, which coordinates all festival-related information.
The grants to other festivals have been decentralized to the DRAC* so the CNC refers all requests to the DRAC in the region where the festival is held.
