Programme
The residency programme “Caméra libre!” supports foreign filmmakers who have already made at least one feature film selected in an international festival, who are in the process of developing a feature film project for international release and who are faced with censorship, persecution or political violence putting them in danger, preventing them from developing their project, or making it difficult for them to network with potential financial partners.
The directors are selected by a committee set for the programme. They are hosted at the Cité internationale des arts for a period of six months starting February 2023. Hosting includes full coverage of residents’ travel and accommodation costs, per diem, as well as artistic and administrative support.
Full information regarding the eligibility criteria and application process can be found in the description of the scheme available for download.
