In 2011, international sales of French TV programs increased by 4.8% and reached 110.6 M€. Total exports (sales and presales) grew by 12.9% to 153.6 M€. These results show renewed growth after a year of stabilization in 2010. Nonetheless, the economic downturn is still affecting the advertising revenue of foreign channels, which remain cautious in terms of their buying policies for programs across all genres, favoring national production.

Overseas presales and foreign investment in coproduction French TV programs showed a strong increase. Presales increased by 40.9% to 43.0 M€, their highest level since 2002. Coproductions continued to grow (+23.3%) to 77.4M€, the biggest investment since 2004.
