For this study, the group examined the economic conditions of introducing digital projection in movie theaters on the French film exhibition market. More specifically, it sought to examine the financing conditions of this change. To do so, the group evaluated the financial needs based on different costs incurred by implementing digital projection, but limited to a sufficiently precise valuation of these costs. These evaluations, validated by both the representatives of the distributors and exhibitors, formed the basis on which the simulation work could be performed to determine financial solutions.
