According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 20.3 million in October 2011, up from 18.5 million in October 2010. (+9.4 %).
For the first ten months of 2011, admissions totalled 166.8 million, a drop of 0.9 % compared with the same period in 2010. Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions were 205.3 million. It fell by 3.1 % year-on-year.

French films market share in the first ten months of 2011 was 35.6 % of total admissions, (35.1 % between January and October 2010). US features shared 50.6 % of total admissions (49.1 % between January and September 2010).
Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 36.1 %, 48.7 % for American films and 15.2 % for other films
