According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 11.4 million in September 2011, up from 10.61 million in September 2010 (+7.5%).
For the first nine months of 2011, admissions totalled 146.5 million, a drop of 2.2% compared with the same period in 2010.
Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions were 203.5 million. It fell by 2.7% year-on-year.
 
French films market share in the first nine months of 2011 was 33.4% of total admissions, (33.1% between January and September 2010). US features shared 51.3% of total admissions (50.6% between January and September 2010).
Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 35.9%, 48.0% for American films and 16.1% for other films
