According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 18.38 million in April 2016, up from 17.96 million in April 2015 (+2.3%).
For the first four months of 2016, admissions totalled 80.65 million, a rise of 7.8% compared with the same period in 2015.
Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions totalled 211.1 million, a rise of 1.4% compared with the same period in 2015.
French Films market share in April 2016 was 40.4% of total admissions. US features shared 52.1% of total admissions. Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 36.2%, 53.3% for American films and 10.4% for other films.
