According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 19.83 million in August 2014, up from 14.88 million in August 2013 (+33.3%).
For the first eight months of 2014, admissions totalled 142.11 milllion, a rise of 14.4% compared with the same period in 2013.
Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions totalled 211.50 million, a rise of 8.5% compared with the same period in 2013.
For the first eight months, French Films market share was 46.2% of total admissions. US features shared 45.9% of total admissions. Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 42.8%, 47.7% for American films and 9.5% for other films.
