According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 13.85 million in June 2013, down from 14.58 million in June 2012 (-5.0%). For the first six months of 2013, France cinema admissions were 95.45 million, down 6.3% on the first half of 2012. Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions totalled 197.01 million, a drop of 11.1% compared with the same period in 2012.
French Films market share over the first six months of 2013 was 37.3% of total admissions (43.5% for the first six months of 2012). US features shared 52.9% of total admissions (42.7% in 2012). Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 37.2%, 47.7% for American films and 15.1% for other films.
