According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 17.89 million in January 2014, up from 14.57 million in January 2013 (+22.8%).
Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions totalled 196.12 million, a drop of 2.9% compared with the same period in 2013.
French Films market share in January 2014 was 38.9% of total admissions. US features shared 45.4% of total admissions. Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 33.4%, 53.7% for American films and 12.9% for other films.
