According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 17.51 million in May 2013, up from 16.23 million in May 2012 (+7.8%).
For the first five months of 2013, admissions totalled 81.60 admissions, a drop of 6.5% compared with the same period in 2012.
Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions totalled 197.74 million, a drop of 10.8% compared with the same period in 2012.
French Films market share in May 2013 was 39.7% of total admissions. US features shared 50.0% of total admissions. Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 37.4%, 47.4% for American films and 15.2% for other films.
