Set up in April 2006 within the Multimedia and Technical Industries Department (DMIT) which is responsible for supporting new formats and new content, the Video Department brings together all video-related tasks at the CNC.
It ensures the support, control, following-up and monitoring of the physical and virtual (video on demand) video sector.
It also carries out analysis and research into future developments in the sector.
It is the preferred point of contact for industry professionals on video-related issues.
It has a dual role in the field of video on demand (or VoD):
