The financing department is responsible for :
- evaluating subsidies, while taking into account financial changes and the economic behavior of players in the sector
- monitoring institutional financial actors (specialized lending institutions, IFCIC, Sofica)
- tax issues that have an impact on the sector's economy
- checking on the budgets of major associations partnered with the CNC
- centralizing all or part of the funds available through the budgets of ministries, or public corporations and associations dedicated to creating, producing, and distributing cinema, audiovisual, and multimedia works (contracts with public partners, managing and monitoring of funds and agreements with professionals on payment of subsidies, acquisition of broadcasting rights, and production of commissioned movies)
- managing the Images de la Diversité (Images of Diversity) Fund
