Filming "Transatlantic" in Marseille with the French tax rebate

Series "Transatlantic" Anika Molnar, Netflix

Film France-CNC will hold a talk at the European Film Market, in Berlin, on February 18th : presentation of the French Tax Rebate for International Production, followed by an exclusive case study on Netflix series Transatlantic, created by Anna Winger, filmed in Marseille (south of France).

Upcoming Netflix series Transatlantic, Anna Winger’s latest creation, was based on real events in French History. German Executive production company Airlift Productions decided to film it in Marseille and its surrounding, in the south of France, relying on the expertise of the French production services company Cactus Film, along with local film commissions members of Film France-CNC Network. Speakers Camille McCurry, Thomas Buchwalder, Caroline Warin and Vanessa Kuzay will come back on their collaboration and share their experience of this adventure, right after a presentation of the French Tax Rebate for International Production, which amounts to 30% of eligible expenditures (up to 40% with VFX bonus). The panel will be moderated by Joanna Lorblanchet, in charge of Promotion & Production Support for Film France-CNC, the national film commission and one-stop shop for foreign productions and individuals preparing to film in France.
